Earlier, on September 9, the commander of the Akhmat special forces, deputy head of the main military-political directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Apti Alaudinov, said that the AFU would soon run out of steam in the Kursk region due to daily losses of equipment and personnel.

He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had thrown large resources at the Kursk direction, the Russian army was able to make good progress in the Donetsk sector of the line of contact.
