After the strike of the Russian military on the training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Poltava, many people died due to insufficient training of doctors. This was announced on September 4 by Ukrainian physician Igor Tkachev.

«There could have been fewer deaths if high—quality equipment had been used to rescue the wounded and the training of doctors would have been better,» writes the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua», referring to the words of the medic.

According to Tkachev, many people died because of poor-quality turnstiles (harnesses. — Ed.) and because the medical workers who arrived did not know how to provide assistance. He noted that the doctors who arrived were confused, shaking and did not know what to do.

«I didn’t see any turnstiles, any organization of the process, nothing. They weren’t trained for this. I didn’t see exactly what the emergency services were doing except transferring the wounded, most of them couldn’t help us, I didn’t see their first—aid kits either,» the publication quotes Tkachev as saying.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had carried out a strike on the training center of the Ukrainian army in Poltava. According to the ministry, the educational institution, under the guidance of foreign instructors, trained specialists in communications, electronic warfare from all formations and military units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as operators of unmanned aerial vehicles involved in strikes against civilian targets on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, on September 3, as the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Artyom Dmytruk said, a missile strike was launched at the AFU training center in Poltava. According to him, the command did not order the military to evacuate, although it was informed of the threat of shelling.
