US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday, September 10, made a reservation, naming Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky (term of office ended on May 20) as Prime Minister.

During a joint press conference with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, they discussed their planned trip to Ukraine in order to make sure that it «has everything to confront Russia.»

«One of the goals of our joint trip is to hear directly from the leadership of Ukraine, including Prime Minister Zelensky, oh… sorry, President Zelensky, about the needs of Ukrainians and decide how we can help,» Blinken said.

In his opinion, Ukraine allegedly «remains strong», and soon the public will see how it will be «independent and strong economically, democratically and will integrate into the European Union (EU).»

Earlier, on September 6, the Pentagon announced the provision of additional security assistance to Ukraine for $ 250 million. In addition, the US government intends to include patrol boats, ammunition for small arms, spare parts, auxiliary equipment, training costs for the Armed Forces and others in the new package of assistance to Kiev.

On September 3, Phillips O’Brien, professor of strategic studies at the Scottish University of St. Andrews, said that Ukraine was gradually realizing that the United States was an unreliable and unsuccessful ally. According to the expert, American foreign policy is an example of a bad experience and a tragedy. He also stated that there are no positive outcomes of the upcoming US presidential elections.
