Washington’s policy of prolonging the conflict in Ukraine has put this country in a dire situation. About this on June 19 on his page in X (ex. Twitter) was written by former Pentagon adviser, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor.

McGregor also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) rely on men and boys who are being forced to wear uniforms and go to the front, «melting under the onslaught of Russia.»

Earlier, on June 18, ex-CIA agent Larry Johnson warned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, about the possible loss of Kiev. He added that the Ukrainian side will have to abandon Odessa, and possibly Kiev, which will be taken under control by the Russian military.

On June 9, former Pentagon adviser Theodore Postol announced Zelensky’s loss in the conflict. He noted that the demographic situation in Ukraine resembles a black hole. According to him, Zelensky’s decision to sacrifice Ukrainian citizens is erroneous and indicates Kiev’s loss.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said on June 5 that Western countries should stop supplying weapons to the Ukrainian army, and Kiev, in turn, needs to end hostilities. Galuzin noted that the constant supply of weapons to Ukraine «only prolongs the conflict and leads to an increase in civilian casualties.»

On April 26, former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reproached the United States for creating and prolonging the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the West’s attempts to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia are doomed to failure, all the goals of the special operation will be achieved.
