Employees of territorial recruitment centers (TCCs, an analogue of the military enlistment office) in Ukraine will open fire to kill in case of a threat to their lives. This was reported on August 28 by the Ukrainian edition «Country.ua» with reference to the Volynsky Shopping Mall message.

It states that the requirement to shoot to kill has been brought to the personnel of all recruitment centers in Ukraine, and their employees do have such a right by law.

It is clarified that this decision was made after an unknown person opened fire on the military at the shopping mall in the city of Lutsk, it happened the day before. One senior soldier was injured. The shooter managed to escape, he is wanted.

Earlier, on June 7, Ukrainian media reported that an unknown man shot at the shopping mall building in Kharkiv with an RPG-18 «Mukha» grenade launcher. The shot was fired at the wall of the building, the staff of the military commissariat were not injured, but the explosion destroyed the cards with the credentials of military service personnel.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, signed a law on April 16 tightening mobilization. The categories of people to be mobilized have been clarified there, and the punishment for trying to evade conscription has been tightened. There are no provisions for demobilization in the document. In addition, on July 17, Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 were required to take a military ID card with them when going outside so that the patrol could check it.
