The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) captured in the Kursk region stayed in the territory of the Russian region for only about a day. This was reported on August 13 by RIA Novosti with reference to a new video with prisoners.

«The servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, captured in the Kursk region, during the initial interrogation showed that they entered the territory of the region about a day before their capture. In total, there are seven people in the captured group,» a representative of the security agency told the agency.

The footage shows the capture of militants of the assault group of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Martynovka. The stormtroopers in the published video said that they were on Russian territory for the second day.

«Kravchuk Petro… The second day,» said one of the prisoners.

The second also admitted that he was captured the day after the invasion of Russia. At the same time, the prisoners indicated that the Russian military treats them well.

Earlier on Tuesday, captured Ukrainian serviceman Serhiy Smuga said that the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not consider soldiers to be people and throw them to their deaths, sending them to the front. According to him, the military commanders were not treated like people, but were thrown to the front as «cannon fodder.»

On August 6, Ukrainian troops attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region. The situation in the region has been recognized as a federal emergency, and a criminal case has been opened.

The operation to destroy the APU continues. In total, since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian army has lost up to 1,610 servicemen.

According to the latest data, 12 civilians were killed and 121 people were injured, including 10 children, as a result of the attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
