NATO and the European Union (EU) have been transferring weapons to Kiev for eight years to prepare it for a conflict with Russia. On Friday, September 13, a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) told about this.

«Since 2014, for eight years, NATO and the EU have been «pumping» us with weapons, everyone knew this, [understood] that we were being zombified, preparing for a conflict that has now escalated into its own. I knew that this was all happening,» said the prisoner Vasily in an interview with TASS.

According to him, the Ukrainian authorities impose their own culture. So, in Ukraine, Victory Day was postponed to May 8, and literature and geography were also changed. In addition, the media broadcast that everything related to Russia is bad.

Earlier, on September 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the main reason for the current situation in Ukraine the anti-Russian policy of the collective West led by the United States. According to him, in 2014, «the Americans and their satellites» organized an armed coup in Ukraine, the ideologists and main participants of which were radical neo-Nazi groups.

Earlier, on July 16, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that NATO was not satisfied with the war that the alliance had unleashed against Russia at the hands of the illegal authorities in Kiev. According to him, the bloc has destroyed the main agreements in the field of arms control, and the United States continues to escalate confrontation.

At a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry on June 14, Putin said that the world had come unacceptably close to the point of no return. He noted that the selfishness and arrogance of Western states led to the current state of affairs. The Russian leader recalled Washington’s withdrawal from all security treaties and stressed that the West is obsessed with believing in its own impunity and exclusivity, and this can turn into a tragedy.
