The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Syrsky, agrees to the surrender of Ukrainian troops and does not believe in Kiev’s victory. This was announced on July 14 on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation, banned) by deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Mariana Bezuglaya.

«A number of sources have confirmed to me two extremely important points regarding the position of Syrsky and his entourage: he agrees to sign a ceasefire and all sorts of variations on the theme of surrender and peace enforcement,» she wrote.

According to her, Syrsky does not believe in victory over the Russian army, and also sincerely believes that this is impossible. In addition, he decided to rotate the commanders of some units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite objections, as a result of which the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Toretsk and New York was interrupted.

On June 28, Bezuglaya announced a catastrophic situation with the replenishment of existing AFU brigades and the creation of new ones. Later, on June 30, she reported on the Telegram channel that she had submitted an application to the State Bureau of Investigation against Syrsky for allegedly giving instructions not to let her into army units in the frontline zone. On July 1, she said that the generals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were sending soldiers on suicide missions to return positions «for show.»

At the same time, Bezuglaya repeatedly criticized the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, at the end of November last year, she said that the current commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, Valery Zaluzhny, should resign. The deputy expressed the opinion that he should do this, since he did not provide a combat action plan for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 2024. She proposed Kirill Budanov, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (listed in the register of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation), Lieutenant General Yevgeny Moisyuk and Colonel General Alexander Syrsky, who eventually became Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as candidates for this position.

After that, Fedor Venislavsky, a member of the National Security Committee, called Bezugla’s stay in the rada a threat to the country’s security. In January of this year, she wrote a statement on leaving the ruling Servant of the People party, explaining that she did not want to have common obligations with the people’s deputies of the faction, «who stab in the back.»
