The Russian Armed Forces destroyed about 30 foreign mercenaries and six pieces of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Sumy region. This was announced on September 8 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

«As a result of the missile strike, about 30 foreign mercenaries and six pieces of equipment were destroyed at a temporary deployment point near the settlement of Stetskovka,» the ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, on September 5, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the destruction of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation by a rocket attack of the M270 MLRS multiple launch rocket system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region. It was noted that the strike on the coordinates of the combat vehicle was carried out by the Iskander-M missile defense system.
