The Russian Armed Forces (AF) launched a group attack on the airfield infrastructure of Ukraine, where it was planned to deploy aircraft from Western countries. This was announced on June 27 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is clarified that the strike was carried out this morning by high—precision long-range sea-based weapons — an aeroballistic hypersonic Dagger missile and drones.

«This morning, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike <…> on the airfield infrastructure of Ukraine, planned to accommodate aircraft from Western countries. The aim of the strike has been achieved,» the military department said in a statement.

They added that all designated facilities were hit.

Earlier, on June 22, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, in response to Kiev’s attempts to damage Russian energy facilities, launched a group strike on energy facilities in Ukraine at night. In addition, the Russian military struck ammunition depots and aviation weapons supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by Western countries.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
