The Armed Forces of Russia destroyed the personnel of the Ukrainian army in a forest belt in the border area of the Kursk region. This was announced on September 8 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, publishing footage of combat work.

The footage shows how an explosion occurred at the site of the impact, and a column of smoke began to rise into the air.

«By means of aerial reconnaissance of the North group of troops in the border area of the Kursk region, an accumulation of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, hiding in a forest belt, was discovered. After confirmation, the detected targets were destroyed by artillery strikes,» the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Earlier that day, the ministry reported that the crew of the Su-34 of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) hit with aerial bombs a cluster of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of the Kursk region.

Earlier, on September 6, the Ministry of Defense reported that in one of the border areas of the Kursk region, the crew of a Su-34 fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces also successfully attacked manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the AFU formations continues.
