The first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Svetlana Zhurova, condemned Ukraine’s violation of the protocol as part of a request to Russia for admission to a meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

On the eve of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian delegation was allowed to attend a meeting of the UN Security Council at the request of the United States. According to Nadezhda Sokolova, the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, the Ukrainian diplomats themselves did not observe protocol politeness.

In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Wednesday, July 10, the parliamentarian noted that Ukraine behaves in a similar way at all sites where it is not suppressed.

«When we are present at international venues, sensible colleagues periodically begin to stop such behavior by representatives of Ukraine and their attempts to disrupt some meetings, where sometimes there is not even a political component,» Zhurova said.

She also called the incorrect behavior of the representatives of Ukraine «working out the agenda» and a plan «that needs to be worked out.»

On July 9, Sokolova said that representatives of Ukraine «sent a letter with a request to participate in the meeting on July 9 from one line: actually, the requirement itself» without minimum protocol politeness. The Russian side did not accept Ukraine’s request and noted that it could admit it if it received a correct request. The permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, Sergei Kislitsa, did not change his «provocative behavior», because the Americans had to ask instead, he notes 360.ru .

Zhurova added that Russia, as chairman, could not allow one country to once again try to «bend» the UN Security Council to its «concepts,» writes RT. It is noteworthy that not a single European delegation stood up for the Ukrainians. On the same day, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia said that Ukraine had sent an incorrect application to participate in a meeting of the Security Council.
