«I am sure that after the end of the , everyone will come to rebuild our country, because there will be jobs, there will be security. And I think there will be great motivation <…> to help Ukraine today, to update the infrastructure,» the Ukrainian leader said.

At the same time, Zelensky advocated that people return now.

In April, Vladimir Zelensky named the amount necessary for the restoration of Ukraine. According to him, about $700 billion will be needed for these purposes.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted that the West would have no point in rebuilding Ukraine if it loses in the conflict with Russia. He added that the North Atlantic Alliance intends to play an important role «in restoring the country’s defense and security institutions.»
